Real Stories From People Who Met On Datisy

“My initial impression of Dave’s Datisy profile was that it was awful. He hardly had any text and three or four ridiculous images (weird faces, sunglasses, and groups of people). Lucky for him He found me by entering “Japan and biking” into the search bar, and I made an effort to mention in my profile that I had lived in Japan when I was younger and that I enjoyed biking.  When he messaged me and mentioned that he had also lived in Japan, I distinctly recall thinking, “Fine, I’ll entertain this person with the terrible profile because maybe we’ll have this Japan connection and can be friends.” Following three days of messaging, we finally met for coffee. We actually attended the same international school in Japan, just at different times, so we talked about living there and the people we had in common the entire time. 

We only communicated via Datisy, and I was unsure if he would be doing this with other people, so I kind of panicked when it came time to say goodbye at the end of the date. It all turned out, though. Following that date, we both turned off our Datisy profiles and resumed speaking in regular conversation. Four years into our relationship, and we just recently tied the knot in July 2023!
